Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish admitted that there is a warchest full of money ready to spend on new players in the January transfer window. The Reds have been linked with a number of new players in recent weeks, and Dalglish reportedly wants to bring in a new striker.
Liverpool have around 18m GBP available to spend on new players should Dalglish wish to freshen up his squad for the second half of the season.<br />
"We don’t speculate on anybody – either our own players or somebody else’s players", said Dalglish.<br />
"It doesn’t matter what we say, there is going to be speculation in the newspapers, but we won’t be here to answer every question that’s in the newspapers.<br />
"We’ll do our business the way we’ve been brought up to do our business, and that’s privately behind closed doors."<br />
The Liverpool boss did admit that, should he want to bring in new blood, the funds are there for him to do so however.<br />
"We have the option to add if we want to, but we also have another option that we don’t have to."
