Mancini demands better from Samir Nasri

17 December 2011 - 09:10

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini wants to see an improvement from 25m GBP signing Samir Nasri in the coming week, ahead of the massive game against Arsenal on Sunday. Nasri appears to have struggled to adapt to life at the Etihad Stadium since completing his mega money move their Premier League rivals.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
 • Nasri has yet to find the consistency in front of goal that made him an Arsenal fan favorite, despite being amongst the top of the charts in the assists table. Mancini wants to see an improvement from the French midfielder, starting with the visit of his former club this weekend.
Mancini said: "In my opinion Nasri is a champion - a top, top player. I think he can do more but when you change teams you can have a problem.
"At this moment his confidence is maybe not very good because he didn't play against Chelsea but if he plays Sunday he has a chance to show us. I would like Nasri to play better, because he is a really good player."
