Guus Hiddink agent denies Anzhi move

Guus Hiddink agent denies Anzhi move

23 December 2011 - 20:11

The agent of Guus Hiddink has moved to deny reports that a deal has already been agreed with ambitious Russian side Anzhi to make the Dutchman their new coach.

  • Chelsea to make renewed offer for Senegal star?
  • Confirmed Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Man City, Sesko left out
  • Guus Hiddink has been out of work since November, when he stepped down as head coach of the national team of Turkey.

Since then, Hiddink has been holidaying and is in no rush to decide on his future.

According to Hiddink's agent, Kees van Nieuwenhuizen, the Anzhi talk is somewhat premature: "Guus has been on vacation in Africa since last week. He will return only in mid-January, and will make up his mind about his future when he returns.

"He will choose one of the offers he has already received. No one from Anzhi approached me and I had no contacts with this club."
