QPR boss expects busy transfer window

QPR boss expects busy transfer window

02 January 2012 - 06:07

Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock expects to be busy in the January transfer window. The club are preparing offers for '3 or 4 big players', and the likes of Andrew Johnson and Sebastien Bassong are expected to move across London to Loftus Road.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • QPR have already been locked in discussions with Fulham for the transfer of striker Andrew Johnson, whilst Spurs defender Sebastien Bassong is considered surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane.

“I’ve been looking forward to it for a number of weeks if I’m honest. We’re playing alright but we need three or four," said Warnock.

“We rushed to get five or six in the last four days of the last window. We had opportunities throughout the summer to get some good players in but we couldn’t quite do it.

“We’re looking at a number of players, it’s just a pity our next game is on Monday, probably just a bit too early. We might have one in but we’d like three or four before Newcastle.”
