Neil Warnock facing QPR axe

Neil Warnock facing QPR axe

08 January 2012 - 13:23

According to several reports, Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock faces the axe this week, as Malaysian billionaire owner Tony Fernandes has grown frustrated with the poor form of his team in recent weeks.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • It comes as some surprise though, as only yesterday Warnock insisted that he needs to bring in five new faces to guarantee safety for the London side. That may well have been the final straw for Fernandes though, who has already ploughed over 10m GBP into the club.

A terrible run of defeats has seen Fernandes' patience run out, and the QPR chief is desperate to retain Premier League status next year.

Early names linked with a move to QPR are Steve Bruce and Bryan Robson.
