Rooney planning to stay at Man Utd

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney plans to stay at the club despite talk of a shock January exit, the England striker bagged two goals against Man City in a 3-2 win in the FA Cup today.

  • Rooney has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford last week, after being spotted out for dinner with team mates and Alex Ferguson fining his first choice striker.


    However, after the 3-2 FA Cup victory, Rooney said: "Everything which had been in the press is a load of nonsense. There are no problems with me at this club, I want to be at this club for a long time. We knew it was an important game."
