French-Algerian midfielder Abdelhakim Omrani has been linked with a surprise move to Newcastle United, with club representatives reportedly locked in discussions with Lens regarding a transfer.
Newcastle will pay around 1m GBP to bring the youngster to the Premier League, and will join the club's rapidly growing wealth of French talent at St. James' Park.
The former Metz and Nancy starlet has already played for Lens' first team, despite his young age of 20.
Newcastle club representatives have been in France discussing transfer moves for several players.
