Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers have yet to agree a fee for Brazilian defender Alex, despite reports that the centre back has already been at Loftus Road for talks over a move this month.
Alex handed in a transfer request at the beginning of December, and several clubs all over Europe have expressed some interest in his services.
Reports that new QPR manager Mark Hughes has already sealed a deal for Alex appear to be wide of the mark, though.
The 29 year old has been linked with a move to Europe, most notably to ambitious French side PSG and Italian giants Juventus.
