Anelka thanks Chelsea after departure

Nicolas Anelka has thanked Chelsea staff, fans and players via Twitter. Anelka completed a mega money move to Shanghai Shenhua last month, and the Frenchman pulled the curtain down on a glittering career in England serving Arsenal, Bolton, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City.

There had been reports that Anelka had fallen out with staff at Stamford Bridge prior to his departure, but his message on Twitter seemed to suggest otherwise: "I want to acknowledge and send a big thank you to the Chelsea fans, players and all those working in the shadow of the club."<br />
