Nicolas Anelka has thanked Chelsea staff, fans and players via Twitter. Anelka completed a mega money move to Shanghai Shenhua last month, and the Frenchman pulled the curtain down on a glittering career in England serving Arsenal, Bolton, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City.

  • There had been reports that Anelka had fallen out with staff at Stamford Bridge prior to his departure, but his message on Twitter seemed to suggest otherwise: "I want to acknowledge and send a big thank you to the Chelsea fans, players and all those working in the shadow of the club."<br />
