Newcastle manager Alan Pardew wants to discuss a new contract with midfielder Danny Guthrie as soon as possible. The talented centre midfielder has been offered a new 3-year extension to his current contract, but talks have reportedly stalled.
“Danny has impressed me this season. He has been outstanding when given his chance," said Pardew.<br />
“I haven’t had a chat with him about a new contract but it will happen shortly.<br />
“When Tiote went out of the team injured and Danny came in, it was seamless.”
