Manchester United to bid for Damiao?

23 January 2012 - 05:48

Man Utd have been linked with a move for Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao this summer, as the 23 million rated forward admitted to press officials that he could quit Internacional for a move to Europe this year.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • Tottenham are known to have a long term interest in the international striker, but their initial offer of 15 million last year had been turned down by the Brazilian side. Spurs have now turned their attentions elsewhere, and have been watching the French forward Loic Remy of Marseille.

However, Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has had club scouts monitor Damiao in action and is discussing a move for the forward internally. Damiao has yet to play in Europe, but hopes to eventually move to England or Spain.
