South African midfielder Steven Pienaar has reportedly angered Harry Redknapp and club insiders after demanding a meeting to discuss his future at the club. Last week Spurs announced that the former Everton midfielder would not be allowed to leave the club.

 • However, with Pienaar desperate for first team football, the midfielder reportedly reacted angrily and requested showdown talks with Harry Redknapp this week.
Queens Park Rangers have expressed an interest in the midfielder, initially on loan, but they would like to sign the 29 year old permanently. Since arriving at White Hart Lane, Pienaar has found his first team opportunities limited.
Some reports suggest that QPR could offer as much as 6 million to snap up the talented attacking midfielder.
