Wigan have today moved a step closer to securing the signing of Birmingham City midfielder Jean Beausejour. The fee is believed to be worth around 600,000 GBP to his club.
As exclusively revealed on eyefootball.com last August, Wigan have been chasing Beausejour for sometime; and have finally wrapped up a deal for the winger today.
West Brom manager Roy Hodgson is also a big fan of the player, but his efforts to persuade Birmingham to sell the player to the Baggies instead appear to have failed at the last minute.
Beausejour will pen a two year contract at the DW Stadium.
