Wigan close in on Beausejour move

24 January 2012 - 00:54

Wigan have today moved a step closer to securing the signing of Birmingham City midfielder Jean Beausejour. The fee is believed to be worth around 600,000 GBP to his club.

 • Man Utd believe they can sign Bournemouth star for £64m
 • Chelsea tipped to make shock move for Marcus Rashford
 • As exclusively revealed on eyefootball.com last August, Wigan have been chasing Beausejour for sometime; and have finally wrapped up a deal for the winger today.
West Brom manager Roy Hodgson is also a big fan of the player, but his efforts to persuade Birmingham to sell the player to the Baggies instead appear to have failed at the last minute.
Beausejour will pen a two year contract at the DW Stadium.
