West Brom chase Pogrebnyak loan move

27 January 2012 - 05:41

West Brom want to bring VfB Stuttgart and Russia international striker Pavel Pogrebnyak on loan until the end of the season, and then make a permanent move for the player. The 28-year-old has told the German side that he wants to quit Stuttgart for a move elsewhere.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • According to reports from Germany, WBA's approach for Pogrebnyak will be accepted as the Bundesliga side have already found a replacement in Bosnian striker Vedad Ibisevic who joined from Hoffenheim this week.
Pogrebnyak has been with VfB since 2009 but has struggled to reproduce his form of last season, this year he has scored only one goal in 13 games in the Bundesliga.
At the end of the season, the Russian will be available permanently for around 3.75m GBP.
