Wigan manager Roberto Martinez is planning a surprise move for former Spain youth international Marti Crespi. The 24-year-old Mallorcan has been linked with a 1 million GBP move to the Premier League.
The centre back has struggled for first team football at Real Mallorca this year, and Wigan have made an initial approach for the defender.
The defender has been told that he is free to quit Mallorca for another club, and will fly into England this weekend for talks.
