Davide Santon to spend 2 more years at Newcastle

29 January 2012 - 11:10

Davide Santon is happy that he was able to complete a move from Inter Milan to Newcastle, and insists that there are no plans to quit St James' Park during the summer. Santon has forced his way into the first team since making his first league start in December, and is now considered a regular by manager Alan Pardew.

  • Chelsea winger suffers head injury vs Nottingham Forest
  • Man Utd star preparing farewell video ahead of transfer
  • That comes as good news for Santon, who missed a large chunk of the season through injury. There had even been some suggestion that the Italian right back would quit the Toon Army in favour of a move to his homeland this month. But his agent, Renzo Contratto, ruled out talk of a move away.<br />

<em>"Santon is happy at Newcastle.  <em>He wants to remain in England for at least two more years,</em>"</em> Renzo Contratto told <em>FC Inter News</em>.<em><br /></em>
