West Brom manager Roy Hodgson has ruled out the departure of Peter Odemwingie today. The Nigerian forward had been linked with a move to a Premier League rival, but it appears WBA will keep the former Spartak Moscow man until the end of the season at least.
"There has been no approach for Odemwingie, I would not welcome an approach," Hodgson said.
"He is a valuable player who we want to keep. Our aim this transfer window was to make our squad stronger and there was never any suggestion we would have to sell a player.
"We have had no enquiries, and it sounds like a bit of mischief-making to me, but Odemwingie is not for sale."
