Tottenham complete move for Ryan Nelsen

Tottenham have completed a move for Blackburn defender Ryan Nelsen. The New Zealand international centre back has put pen to paper on an 18 month contract at White Hart Lane, and has been given permission to join Spurs as a deal was completed in time before the transfer deadline last night.

Tottenham also completed the signing of Louis Saha from Premier League side Everton last night, and Ryan Nelsen will be a welcome addition at White Hart Lane with the added benefit of extra experience.<br />

"I think he's a great competitor and a good sort to have at your club," Spurs' manager Harry Redknapp said. "I have always liked him."
