Sociedad: Coleman staying

19 October 2007 - 19:38

Real Sociedad have issued a hands-off warning to Bolton Wanderers over coach Chris Coleman. Coleman has been reportedly earmarked by Bolton as the successor to Sammy Lee.

  • Man Utd believe they can sign Bournemouth star for £64m
  • Chelsea tipped to make shock move for Marcus Rashford
  • Real Sociedad spokesman told PA Sport: "We told Bolton that Chris Coleman has a three-year contract. We are delighted with Chris Coleman and we want him to see out his full contract with us."

Former Crystal Palace coach Alan Smith, Coleman's adviser, had earlier claimed Bolton had approached the Welshman.

Smith said: "It's a very interesting proposition for him to return to the Premier League, but at the same time he is happy in Spain.

"We have already turned down an inquiry from another English club."
