Arsenal's Arshavin turns down Russia return

Russia international captain Andrei Arshavin has reportedly turned down a return to his homeland, despite the interest of ambitious Anzhi Makhachkala. According to reports, Anzhi had offered 8.5 million for the out of form winger.

  • There had been some reports that Arshavin would leave the Emirates this week as the Russian transfer window will remain open until February 24th.<br />

    However, the Gunners are believed to be happy to hear that Arshavin would turn down a move back to his homeland, as he wants to fight for a first team place at Arsenal.
