Russia international captain Andrei Arshavin has reportedly turned down a return to his homeland, despite the interest of ambitious Anzhi Makhachkala. According to reports, Anzhi had offered 8.5 million for the out of form winger.
There had been some reports that Arshavin would leave the Emirates this week as the Russian transfer window will remain open until February 24th.<br />
However, the Gunners are believed to be happy to hear that Arshavin would turn down a move back to his homeland, as he wants to fight for a first team place at Arsenal.
