Sneijder admits Man Utd ambition

Sneijder admits Man Utd ambition

10 February 2012 - 07:19

Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder has admitted that he would have seriously considered a move to Manchester United had the Premier League giants made an offer in the January transfer window.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • The 27-year-old has found his opportunities in the first team at Inter limited this year, despite the midfielder's stature as a world class player. Claudio Ranieri, the current Inter manager, has changed his formation and Sneijder has often spent time on the substitute's bench.
Things could have been different for Sneijder though, had United made an offer for him last month.
"I see everything, I am not blind, but there is nothing concrete right now," Sneijder said.
"There have never been any concrete contacts with Manchester United. If on the last day of the transfer window an offer had arrived, maybe I would have left. The truth is that I feel at home at Inter, but I do not know where I will be playing next season."
