Henry opens door to Arsenal return

Henry opens door to Arsenal return

12 February 2012 - 14:43

French striker Thierry Henry has opened the door for a third spell at Arsenal. The striker has scored three goals since returning to the Emirates Stadium on loan from the New York Red Bulls, with goals against Leeds, Blackburn and a match winner yesterday against Sunderland.

  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?
  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?

  • His 'early' departure for the US leaves the Gunners reeling his return to the MLS.

Thierry Henry will leave Arsenal on the 16th of February, and his last game for the club will come against AC Milan in the Champions League in midweek.

But the Gunners legend has opened the door for a return to Arsenal one day, and he hopes that he will have the chance to rejoin his favourite club.

"You can never say never. I felt just like a kid who scores his first goal for the team he loves," said Thierry.

Arsenal will have Gervinho back from African Cup of Nations duty on Sunday, and Arsene Wenger will hope that his side do not miss the former French international Henry too much as he returns back to the United States.
