Capello set for talks with Anzhi Makhachkala

Capello set for talks with Anzhi Makhachkala

12 February 2012 - 14:47

Italian manager Fabio Capello is set to open talks with Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala. The former England boss has already been linked with a return to management, despite his early departure from the national team role last week.

  • Chelsea asked for Max Dowman during Noni Madueke talks
  • Arsenal ready to pay £40m to sign Chelsea star Noni Madueke

  • Capello stepped down from his duties as England coach as he remained angry that the FA decided to relinquish team captaincy from John Terry without consulting the Italian.

Now, eyefootball understands that Capello will fly to Russia to hold talks with ambitious side Anzhi regarding a long term project.

Capello had been expected to quit management completely after Euro 2012, but it appears that the 65-year old has ambitions to return to football sooner than expected as the Russian giants Anzhi prepare a 5.5 million Euro contract for Capello.
