Fulham manager Jol planning summer clear out

04 March 2012 - 06:39

Fulham manager Martin Jol is believed to be planning a summer clear out of some of his oldest stars, including Danny Murphy, Andy Johnson and Damien Duff. The Cottagers are already planning summer transfers.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Jol wants to sell the veteran trio to bring in some finances to support a spending spree during the summer.

Fulham manager Jol wants to sign Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak from VfB Stuttgart permanently, and talks with striker Andrew Johnson have broken down because of the Cottagers' hope that Pogrebnyak will be their new first choice striker.

Meanwhile, midfield star Danny Murphy could be sold as Premier League duo West Brom and Sunderland both retain a long term interest in the attacking midfielder.

Irish midfielder Damien Duff has also been made aware that he could be allowed to leave Craven Cottage at the end of the season.

Fulham owner Mohammed Al-Fayed has reportedly promised Jol a transfer kitty of around £14 million in the summer.
