Michu in Man Utd radar

21 March 2012 - 03:21

Man United are reportedly tracking Rayo Vallecano's attacking midfielder Michu. The 25-year old has scored 13 goals this season and has attracted interest from all the major clubs in Europe.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Michu joined Rayo from Celta after his contract was expired and has been in great form this season topping the scoring charts for the Vallecanos. The Spanish midfielder, known for his pacy runs, is seen as the top transfer target for Man United this summer.

Man Utd boss, Alex Ferguson, had commented that he needs to strengthen his midfield and wants Michu to spearhead the United attack next season. Michu's current form has helped Rayo Vallecano to stay in the top half of the table ahead of La Liga giants Sevilla and Villareal.

Ferguson will have to face tough competition from arch rivals Liverpool for the signature of the Spaniard.
