Di Matteo chasing Chelsea top four spot

Despite Chelsea slumping to a 2-1 defeat to Premier League rivals Manchester City last night, interim manager Roberto Di Matteo thinks that his club can steal challenge for a top four spot, and subsequently secure Champions League qualification.

  • The Blues are currently in fifth place with 9 games to go, but the Italian manager is certain they can edge their way into the top four.<br />

    "Are we confident of making the Champions League? Absolutely," di Matteo said. "We still believe and we still have confidence we can make it.<br />

    "We'd like to finish at least fourth. We will try to do that. If we can manage anything better, then that is a bonus."
