Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hoping to agree terms with Cameroon international midfielder Alex Song this week, and the player could almost double his salary on a brand new £85,000 per week deal. French side PSG were believed to be preparing a transfer move in the summer.
Song has become a crucial member of the Gunners' first team squad this year, with a number of stunning assists for Arsenal's front line.<br />
Since joining from French side Bastia in 2006, Alex Song has become a first team regular for the North London side and a firm fan favourite.<br />
Song will put pen to paper on a new contract at the Emirates at the end of the season.
