McCarthy keen on Wolves reunion

27 March 2012 - 11:15

Former Wolves manager Mick McCarthy admitted that he would relish the opportunity to return to football management with his former club. The Molineux side have struggled since parting ways with McCarthy.

  • McCarthy admitted that he was disappointed to have lost his job at the time, but remains on good terms with club owner Steve Morgan.

There had been some suggestion this week that McCarthy could be reunited with his former club after ailing first team results.

"I would never say never, that's all I can say. Stranger things have happened in football - Carlos Tevez, for example, is back playing for Manchester City," said McCarthy.

"Ideally, I'm looking forward to a fresh challenge. I think Wolves could be a challenge for somebody else - I've done my time."
