West Ham linked with Borja Valero move

28 May 2012 - 06:48

West Ham executives are believed to have their interest in Spanish midfielder Borja Valero known this week, as the former WBA midfielder looks set to quit Villarreal for a return to the Premier League.

  • Valero spent three mixed years with West Brom, as the player went on loan to Mallorca and then Villarreal. The midfielder would later sign a permanent deal with the Yellow Submarines, but was unable to help keep them in the Spanish top flight this year.

A fee of around £2.7 million would be enough to persuade Villarreal to sell the player, as the club admitted last week that they would have to sell some of their best players this summer.
