Arsenal have lined up a surprise bid for Queens Park Rangers' midfielder Adel Taarabt. The Moroccan international has fallen out of favour with Mark Hughes and has yet to reproduce the form that made him a hero at QPR two years ago when his side were promoted from the Championship.
The Gunners' scouts have been monitoring Taarabt closely, with the 23-year-old apparently keen to also leave Queens Park Rangers for a move elsewhere in January.<br />
Last year, Paris St Germain came close to sealing a move for Taarabt, but a move was called off at the very last minute.
