Mauro Boselli ready to quit Wigan

10 November 2012 - 08:58

Wigan misfit Mauro Boselli is ready to quit the club in favour of a move to Serie A. According to reports, both Genoa and Sampdoria are interested in the former Boca Juniors striker.

 • Chelsea to make approach for Morgan Rogers?
 • Man Utd think they can beat Man City to £100m star
 • Since Boselli joined Wigan, the Argentine has failed to impress Roberto Martinez and has fallen down the pecking order at the club. He has now decided to push for a move away from England in the January transfer window.
The forward said: “Before the start of this season my agent told me that Genoa wanted to take me back but Wigan blocked a sale.
“I would have liked to go back to Genoa and show my true value, because the first time I had the misfortune to get injured and had little opportunity to impress.
“Other Italian clubs have also asked about me, but Wigan said ‘no’.
“It is still my desire to play in Serie A because Italian football is more suited to my characteristics.”
