Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been in touch with Schalke 04 regarding the availability of German international winger Lewis Holtby. The player has admitted he will weigh up any offer during the January transfer window.

With Arsenal set to face the possibility of losing Theo Walcott on a free transfer next summer, manager Arsene Wenger could already let the England international leave cheaply during the January transfer window and bring in Holtby instead.<br />

"It will be a decision of the heart," said Holtby, speaking to German newspaper Der Westen. "I won't play around with the club. The opportunities are there. My agent has received offers. I'm waiting to make a decision."
