With the recent successes of star players Jermain Defoe and Gareth Bale, Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has gone on the defensive insisting that he will not be selling any of his best players.
Defoe has been linked with a move to QPR, whilst Bale could make a move to Barcelona.
The Portuguese manager said: "The club has to protect our assets regarding our objectives. We have to qualify for the Champions League, so in order for that to happen we need the players that can make a difference. We are not looking to sell, we are first looking to meet our objectives for this season and that's the most important thing."
