Tottenham scouting Florian Lejeune

08 January 2013 - 01:42

Tottenham scouts have been monitoring the progress of French versatile youngster Florian Lejeune. The Villarreal player is able to play in either midfield or defence, and is very highly rated in Spain.

  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?
  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • Since Villarreal's relegation to the Segunda Liga, Lejeune has forced his way into the first team and has impressed. However, financial problems at the Spanish club could mean that they are forced to sell some of their best young talent.

The former Istres and France under-20 international is available for around 2.4m GBP, and Spurs are prepared to meet Villarreal's demands. It is not yet understood if a deal will be pushed through in the January transfer window, or if a deal will be completed at the end of the year.
