Xabi Alonso reacts to Estevao's performance vs Man Utd

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has reacted to the performance of Estevao following the 2-0 Premier League win over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues returned to winning ways with a superb display against the Red Devils. They were second best in the opening half but fared much better after the interval.

Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer scored the goals, but Estevao was equally good and unfortunate to be denied the third goal due to a fractional offside decision.

Speaking after the game, Alonso was asked about the performance of Estevao, who made his first start of the Premier League campaign.

In response, he said: "I had an idea that he could have a good impact today. He showed that. He was a threat, he created many chances that we could score."

Estevao produced a terrific display after a frustrating period for himself.

Chelsea's latest win has seen them jump to fourth in the table with 16 points, five behind league leaders Manchester City.
