Man Utd target Nicolas Gaitan up for grabs

Argentina midfielder Nicolas Gaitan has been linked with a move away from Benfica, and the player's agent has admitted that he could be allowed to quit the Portuguese side. Man Utd are long term admirers of the player.

Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the versatile midfielder, who can leave Benfica this January if the right offer is made.<br />

"If there is a proposal, we can sit down and analyse it," said Jose Irribaren, the player's representative.<br />

"Gaitan is very happy at Benfica, with the direction of the club and with his team-mates.<br />

"If a good opportunity arises for everyone, then great. But again, he is happy at Benfica.<br />

"I know there are many clubs who want Gaitan, but we have not received any concrete proposal."
