Tottenham to sign Holtby in the summer

Spurs will sign Schalke 04 midfielder Lewis Holtby in the summer, not in the January transfer window as previously considered by the London club. Schalke were open to letting the German international leave in the current transfer window.

However, when Andre Villas-Boas was asked about a potential trasfer to Spurs in January, he replied: "When you reach an agreement with a player that is a free transfer in the summer, there is always that possibility, but it is not something we are looking to do."
