West Brom reject Odemwingie transfer request

West Brom reject Odemwingie transfer request

26 January 2013 - 05:50

WBA have rejected a transfer request from Nigerian striker Peter Odemwingie. The talented forward has been linked with a move to Premier League rivals QPR this month, but West Brom plan for him to stay put.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • Queens Park Rangers were desperate to bring in Odemwingie before the end of the transfer window, but now it seems that they will miss out on the player as his current club WBA have rejected a request for a move away.

"ALBION have this afternoon rejected a transfer request from Peter Odemwingie. The Baggies recently turned down an offer from QPR for the Nigerian international’s services and the club insist none of their core players are for sale," said a statement on their website.
