Arsenal monitoring Gilbert Imbula

11 May 2013 - 05:33

Arsene Wenger's scouting network has been monitoring young French midfielder Gilbert Imbula. The Guingamp player is highly rated and could be available for around 4 million Euros this summer.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
 • Arsenal will be busy over the summer bringing in a variety of new faces, and Imbula could be one of the first to join up with Wenger's team. With the likes of Sebastien Squillacci and Andrei Arshavin set to leave Arsenal in the summer, there are gaps in the squad that needs to be filled and the finances will be available to do so.
Imbula, a defensive midfielder, has been earmarked as a long term replacement for Alexandre Song, who joined Barcelona from Arsenal a year ago.
At Guingamp the 20-year-old youngster is now a regular in the first team.
