Liverpool have made an offer for Lille's 19-year-old defender Lucas Digne. Brendan Rodgers' side will make an offer of £6.8 million to bring the left back to Anfield.
Liverpool are expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the transfer market this summer, having already been linked with a number of left backs in France. It is understood that Rodgers wants to bring in another full back to put current preferred choice Jose Enrique under pressure for his first team spot.
Digne is one of the finest youth prospects in French Ligue 1 at the moment, with the likes of Monaco and Paris St Germain all expressing some interest in his services. However the left back is known to prefer a move to England eventually and his agent is pushing for a move to the Premier League this summer with Liverpool.
