AC Milan want Berbatov

AC Milan want Berbatov

25 October 2007 - 22:29

AC Milan are considering a huge January transfer window move for unsettled Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov. The former Leverkusen striker had fallen out with former Tottenham boss Martin Jol, and Italian giants Milan hold a long term interest in the striker.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Harry Redknapp was quick to hit out at Dimitar Berbatov as he may have contributed to Jol's departure: "The very last thing boss Martin Jol needs right now is Dimitar Berbatov spitting his dummy out because he’s not in Tottenham's starting team every week.

"You only find out the true character of your players when the chips are down and the pressure is on. And we all saw what Berbatov is made of when he was sat sulking on the bench at Newcastle the other night with a face like a big baby."

AC Milan could be set to put in an enormous offer of £14m to snap up the Bulgarian striker in January; however, any coach Tottenham bring in will be likely to wish to keep hold of the player.
