Victor Valdes has told reporters in Spain that Pepe Reina is the goalkeeper most likely to eventually replace him at Barcelona. Valdes will quit Barcelona next year and Liverpool man Reina has always hinted that he would like to return to his homeland.
Liverpool have been linked with Stoke City's goalkeeper Begovic in recent weeks - possibly as a direct replacement for Reina.
"Pepe is an international keeper who has shown his quality," Valdes said.
"He knows the club. We were here together in the past - he is a good friend of mine. He is a very valid keeper to play at any club in the world, including Barcelona."
