Everton to hire Roberto Martinez

04 June 2013 - 05:36

Everton have met with Roberto Martinez and his representatives to discuss personal terms. The Wigan manager looks set to replace David Moyes after Wigan and the Toffees agreed compensation.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • Everton are expected to hire Martinez on a four year contract and have promised a transfer kitty of over 12 million GBP.

"Bill Kenwright [Everton chairman] and myself have agreed a deal," said Dave Whelan.

"He can now talk to Everton, so he is free to do a deal if he wants."
