Arsenal's pursuit of Higuain stalled

11 June 2013 - 06:51

Arsenal's move for Argentina international striker Gonzalo Higuain appears to have stalled. The forward, who is also being tracked by Italian giants Juventus, has been told he must wait for Real to announce their new manager before the player can decide his future.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a massive fan of the forward and has long been linked with a move for the striker. Juventus were also very close to agreeing terms with Real over a transfer.

Juventus' director Beppe Marotta has now revealed that any move for the striker has been slowed down by Real Madrid: "Real Madrid have told us that Higuaín is not for sale and that no decision will be taken before the new coach arrives."
