Laurent Blanc New PSG Manager?

Laurent Blanc New PSG Manager?

21 June 2013 - 18:15

Laurent Blanc is believed to have been selected as the final choice for Paris Saint-Germain’s new manager. It has been reported that the French club have concluded their hectic search for a new manager in the form of Blanc, who last managed France for two years up to last summer’s European Championship when his team made a disappointing quarter-final exit.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • The signing of the French manager has cleared the obstacles in Carlos Ancelloti’s much awaited Real Madrid switch, which could also mean that Higuain’s anticipated Arsenal switch might soon be official.

PSG have been busy last few days trying to find a suitable successor to their present manager. But after being snubbed twice- by Andre Villas-Boas and Fabio Capello- it seems now that the French club have settled for a two year deal with Laurent Blanc.

Laurent, the 47 –year-old, has been out of action for some time now after his managerial spell with France but is now keen to return to the arena. He will also bring in the experience of his trusted assistant, Jean-Louis Gasset, to Parc des Princes and join forces with Claude Makelele, who was a part of Ancelloti’s coaching staff.

Ancelloti is believed to take his English assistant manager, Paul Clement, with him to Madrid but Makelele has signed a contract renewal to stay at the French capital. Interestingly, Blanc played alongside Makelele for France.
