Premier League Clubs Target Jefferson Montero

Premier League Clubs Target Jefferson Montero

24 June 2013 - 18:08

Ecuador international, Jefferson Montero, would be hoping to seal a move to England this summer transfer season in the Premier League, following the great deal of attention he has been drawing from a host of Premier League clubs.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Montero, who joined Morelia from Villarreal last year, after some impressive displays on the pitch, almost joined Wigan in January this year but the deal couldn’t be finalized.<br />

But recent reports suggest growing interest of clubs in the Morelia wide-man. It is understood that he was on the radar of many English clubs’ scouting networks, who monitored his performance in Ecuador’s World Cup qualifying draw with Argentina earlier this month.<br />

The prominent clubs that are keen on the 23-year-old are Swansea, West Brom, West Ham and Hull City. These clubs are ready to meet his buy-out clause of 3.5million pounds.<br />

Dan Chapman said, "Jefferson is ready to move to England,"<br />

"We can confirm a number of clubs are showing an interest, which is not surprising after his performance against Argentina last week."
