Arsenal Star Santi Cazorla rejects Real Madrid once again

25 June 2013 - 12:08

The Gunners star and Player of the season Santi Cazorla has reassured all the fans at the Emirates that he isn’t going anywhere. Cazorla has come out and turned down all advances from La Liga giants Real Madrid.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • The La Liga side have now failed twice in their attempt of procuring his services. Cazorla was quoted in an interview in the Daily Star, “In football you have to live in the moment. I have three years left on my contract and I have not thought of anything like that. My plan is to continue at the club.”

Making no bones about his ambitions with his current club, Cazorla also added, “Arsenal are treating me very well and I want to win a title with them. In football, you cannot predict the future at any time.”

Arsenal have been affected in recent years by the departure of atleast one star individual at the end of each season. This could be the first year in a long long time when the trend is going to end.

Cazorla arrived at the the North London club last summer from Malaga, on a four year contract worth nearly 30 million pounds. He quickly made himself as one of Premier League’s most prolific players and a fan favorite at the Emirates.

Cazorla scored 12 goals last season , all of those were from the Premier League. He also amassed 10 Man of the Match accolades in the process.
