Chelsea in for Geoffrey Kondogbia

Its no secret to anyone that Chelsea are in the transfer market this season looking for a new youthful central midfielder, taking into regard how injury prone the likes of John Obi Mikel and Michael Essien have been in that particular area of midfield.

  • The London based side have been reported to be chasing the signature of the young Dutch star Marco Van Ginkel, but are also keeping an eye on the young Frenchman Geoffrey Kondogbia who currently plies his trade with Sevilla in La Liga. 



    Kondogbia has also had interest from the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid.

    The French U20 international who is currently on international duty, representing his country in the U20 World Cup in Turkey has pushed speculations about a switch and will decide on it after the World Cup



    He also mentioned that a few clubs are currently courting him. I am flattered to be linked with Real Madrid," Kondogbia told the Express. ”They are a top club, but Sevilla are fantastic for me at the moment. Chelsea are also a great team with a great manager, so let's wait and see what will happen after the World Cup."
