Swansea City set to sign Wilfried Bony

27 June 2013 - 14:32

Premier League side Swansea City are set to confirm the signing of Wilfried Bony from Vitesse Arnhem. The Eredivisie side accepted a bid of £10.2m from the Swans.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The Ivorian International is in demand after scoring 31 goals last season ending up the Eredivisie top scorer. Newcastle were also rumoured to be interested in a bid for the player but it now appears the Welsh side will complete the deal within the next couple of days.

The addition of Wilfried Bony to Michael Laudrup's squad would be a huge boost considering their lack of quality players at the front. Swansea look like they will finally spend some of their transfer budget inorder to compel Laudrup to have a long-term future at the club.

Laudrup will be hoping that the Ivorian International can form a great partnership with Michu, and reports on AD.nl suggest the deal is almost done.
