Pablo Osvaldo To Atletico Madrid?

27 June 2013 - 20:55

Tottenham target from Roma, Pablo Osvaldo, is reportedly set to snub the Spurs in favour of Atletico Madrid.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • According to past reports, it had been suggested that the 27-year-old Italian international had been on Andre Villas-Boas shopping list for quite some time now with the manager making repeated contact with the Italian giants regarding a transfer.
But the player’s agent claims that the striker is plotting a possible £15.4 million transfer to Vicente Calderon, where Atletico are keen on finding an ideal replacement for Radamel Falcao, who departed for Monaco earlier this month.
Deigo Tavano told Radio Mana Mana Sport that, “The negotiations are taking place and the fee will be around €18m.”
Atletico wouldn’t be Osvaldo’s first Spanish club if this deal is confirmed. He has played earlier for Espanyol in La Liga, from where he moved to Roma in 2011 for a fee of 15million euros.
“The attacker is well liked in Spain and he just needs to find the right emotional balance because he has incredible qualities.”
Osvaldo scored 19 goals in 29 Serie A matches last season and has also drawn attention from Tottenham and Fiorentina but a La Liga switch appears more likely now after his agent’s statements.
